The January Crown Check: 3 questions that change everything

Before you set another goal, answer these:

What drained me last year that I refuse to repeat?

What do I need more of this year-rest, structure, support, or courage?

What is my warning sign that I’m overextending again?

(Examples: irritability, headaches, procrastination, emotional eating, scrolling, snapping, shutting

down.)

That third question is key-because your warning signs are your early alert system.

How mindset and limits work together

Here’s the connection most people miss

If your mindset is “I have to prove myself,” your limits will be weak.

If your mindset is “I’m responsible for everyone,” your limits will be shaky.

If your mindset is “I don’t want to disappoint people,” your limits will get negotiated away.

So in January, we don’t just set goals.

We set identity-level decisions.

Try this:

“In 2026, I’m the kind of person who protects my peace.”

That one sentence becomes a filter for everything
